JKBOPEE Announces 1st Round of Counselling for 12th Based Paramedical Diploma Courses 2024: Key Details and Schedule

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has announced the first round of physical counselling for admissions to the 12th Based Paramedical Diploma Courses for 2024. This process is open to candidates applying to various Government and Private Colleges/Institutions in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The counselling will be conducted at BOPEE offices in Jammu and Srinagar simultaneously.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the 1st round of physical counselling, candidates must meet the following conditions:

  • Candidates must have successfully cleared the entrance examination as per Notification No. 075-BOPEE of 2024 (dated 17-08-2024).
  • Candidates must possess a Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority.
  • All relevant documents, including category certificates (if applicable), must be submitted at the time of counselling.
  • Candidates who have failed to submit deficient category certificates within the time limit will be converted to Open Merit, provided they are eligible.

Schedule of Counselling


The counselling schedule is outlined in the official notification, where candidates are called rank-wise on specific dates. Here is a summary of the counselling timeline:
  • Counselling Venue: BOPEE offices in Jammu and Srinagar.
  • Time: 8:30 am to 10:00 am (for registration and attendance).
  • Counselling Dates: Counselling will proceed based on the rank of the candidates, and they must report on the assigned date for their respective ranks.

Counselling Process

  1. Registration and Attendance: Candidates need to report to the BOPEE offices between 8:30 am and 10:00 am on their assigned dates for registration and attendance.

  2. Document Verification: Candidates must present their Domicile Certificate and any other applicable documents for verification during the counselling process.

  3. Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted in accordance with merit and the availability of disciplines and institutions, as per the rules laid down in S.O. 176 Dated 15.03.2024 and S.O. 305 Dated 21-05-2024.

  4. Missed Counselling: Candidates who miss their scheduled counselling day can attend the following day. However, they will not be able to claim any seat already allotted to a lower-ranked candidate.

  5. Provisional Selection: After the conclusion of the counselling session, the Provisional Selection List will be released, indicating application number, name, gender, category, institution, and discipline for each selected candidate.

Mode of Counselling

The counselling will be held in physical mode at the BOPEE offices in Jammu and Srinagar. Candidates are required to be present physically on their assigned date and time to complete all formalities.

Important Guidelines for Candidates

  • Candidates are advised to regularly check the BOPEE website for updates on the seat matrix and other announcements during the counselling days.
  • If a candidate cannot attend the counselling due to a valid reason, they may authorize a family member (via an Authority Letter) to attend on their behalf.
  • The counselling process is merit-based, and once a seat is allotted, it cannot be claimed by another candidate who missed their initial counselling day.
  • Provisional selection is not the final admission—selected candidates must report to the allotted institution to complete the formalities, including payment of fees.

Seat Matrix

The seat matrix will be updated regularly on the official BOPEE website (www.jkbopee.gov.in) throughout the counselling period. Candidates should stay informed of the available seats for various disciplines and institutions.
