Important Guidelines for Candidates
Upgraded or Joined Candidates: If you have already been allotted a seat during the first round and have joined the college of your choice, you do not need to attend the Mop-Up Round.
Candidates Seeking Upgradation: Those who joined a seat in the first round but wish to upgrade their seat can participate in this round. Bring your fee deposition receipt from the college at the time of registration.
Missed First Round?: Candidates who could not attend the first round of counselling due to unavoidable reasons or chose the "C.N.A./S.N.A." option are eligible for the Mop-Up Round.
Did Not Join After First Allotment?: Candidates who were allotted seats in the first round but did not join the college are also eligible to participate.
Stay for Seat Availability: Candidates are advised not to leave the Board office during counselling, as seats may become available due to last-minute cancellations. If a preferred seat becomes available, you can claim it immediately.
Document Checklist
To participate in the counselling process, ensure you bring the following documents:
- Domicile Certificate
- 12th Class Marks Card
- Valid Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Date of Birth Certificate (Diploma/10th Class Marks Card)
Unfilled Reserved Seats to Be Converted to Open Merit
If any seats reserved for category candidates remain unfilled due to a lack of eligible applicants, they will be converted into Open Merit (OM) seats under Section 9(2) of the J&K Reservation Act, 2004. These seats will then be filled based on merit.
Seat Matrix Information
The seat matrix will be uploaded before the counselling dates. Candidates are encouraged to review the matrix thoroughly to better understand seat availability and make informed decisions during counselling.
This Second/Mop-Up Round is an excellent opportunity for candidates who wish to upgrade their seats or missed the first round of counselling. Be sure to gather all necessary documents, stay updated on seat availability, and be present at the BOPEE offices on time to maximize your chances of securing your preferred seat.
