JKBOPEE Stray Vacancy Round for MBBS, BDS, DDH, and DDM Courses 2024 | NEET-UG 2024 | J&K Admissions

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has announced a special stray vacancy round for admissions into MBBS, BDS, DDH, and DDM programs in various government medical and dental colleges across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. This round is aimed at filling up the remaining seats that became vacant due to candidates’ resignations and other unfilled positions.

Why This Round?

This special round addresses:

  • Seats unfilled during prior counseling rounds.
  • Additional vacancies arising from recent resignations.
  • Open Merit seats from ASCOMS.

Available Seats Overview

These seats span several categories, including Open Merit (OM), Reserved categories, and special subcategories such as CDP, SC, ST, etc. Additionally, gender-specific seats are designated with F for Females and M for Males, ensuring equitable representation across categories.

Counseling Schedule and Reporting

Date: October 30, 2024
Session: Morning (8:30 am - 10 am)
Eligible Ranks: 0001-4569

Candidates must report at the designated centers within this time frame. The session will prioritize reserved category candidates, followed by Open Merit candidates.

Eligibility for Participation

To participate in this stray vacancy round, candidates must meet specific criteria:

  1. Non-allotted Candidates: Those who were not allotted any seat during the 2nd or 3rd/Mop-Up Rounds.
  2. Joined but Not Upgraded: Candidates who accepted a seat in the 2nd round but did not receive an upgrade in the Mop-Up Round.
  3. Non-joined 1st Round Candidates: Those who were allotted seats in the 1st round but didn’t join may participate.
  4. Exclusions: Candidates already allocated seats in the All India Quota (AIQ) special rounds and who have joined those institutions cannot participate.

Conversion of Reserved Category Seats

In line with Section 9(2) of the J&K Reservation Act, 2004, any remaining reserved seats after this round will be converted to Open Merit and allotted accordingly.

Counseling Fee and Payment

A counseling fee of ₹1500 is required, payable via POS machines available at JKBOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar using debit or credit cards.

Additional Important Information

  • The seat matrix will be published on the official JKBOPEE website (www.jkbopee.gov.in) one day before the counseling date.
  • Other terms and conditions remain consistent with previous guidelines issued by JKBOPEE.
